The Fold is a non-profit, residential counseling ministry founded in 1967 for at-risk teens aged 13-17. Located high in the scenic Vermont countryside overlooking Lyndonville, Vermont and Burke Mountain, The Fold provides individualized year-round residential Christian counseling in a safe and nurturing environment. We offer a new beginning for both troubled teens and their parents in crisis. Our slogan is, "Restoring families, one son and one daughter at a time."
Many distressed parents have found The Fold to be the answer to their prayers. Over the years literally hundreds of troubled teens have turned their lives around and fractured families have reconciled. Through God's love, young people formerly headed in the wrong direction have found hope and healing and gone on to successful careers, marriages and families, and life within our communities.
The Fold has over 20 full and part time staff, plus volunteers, and can accommodate up to 26 teens. Our residents follow an individualized growth and learning plan, assisted by a support system of trained staff that acts as teachers, mentors, and role models. Each young person also daily attends The Fold's private secondary school as well as highly personalized counseling sessions each week. Some classes are coeducational but the boys and girls dorms are several miles apart. Counselors utilize a biblical approach and are trained and credentialed through the Association of Exchanged Life Ministries of which The Fold is a member. With over forty years of experience in residential counseling of at risk teenagers, we are confident that your child can join the many others whose testimonials thank God and The Fold for their restored life, family, and future.
