Aiyanna's Story

I was born in Brooklyn, New York. My birth mother was a crack cocaine addict and I was born as a result of a drug deal. I was placed in foster care shortly after I was born, as a result of child negligence. When I was around 2, my grandmother came to relieve me from the Foster Care system and took me into her home as though I was her very own daughter.

Since 1968 nearly a thousand at-risk teens have turned their lives in a new direction and distraught parents and fractured families have reconciled. Many parents have found The Fold to be the answer to their prayers as they proudly watched their children find hope and healing and move on to successful careers, marriages and lives within our communities.
